The present analysis has been structured as follows: The first part discusses the electoral system in Kosovo and the legal infrastructure based on which Kosovo has been organising elections since 2000. The second part deals with the transparency and the funding of political parties. The third part analyses the tendency to reform the Electoral system in Kosovo, especially after the general elections of 2010, which consisted in many irregularities. The fourth part deals with the shift of the attention of the political leadership in Kosovo from electoral reform to constitutional (de) form. The fifth part provides an analytical retrospective on general elections of 2001, 2004, 2007 and 2010. In addition, voter’s turnout in elections will be analysed in the same vein. The sixth part analyses early general elections of 2014, the electoral campaign, electoral slogans and promises, election’s progress, trends and results. This part reviews the election threshold and checks election lists of 2010 against those of 2014 by means of a comparative analysis. And the last, but nut not the least part provides a conclusion and a list of recommendations.
