Analysis Of Musical Preferences And Orchestral Music

"What makes people go to or avoid orchestra concerts?" During the spring of 2014, I posted a survey to Reddit and a few other sources to help answer this question. This report is a summary of results and statistics from the survey. A more rigorous analysis was done with asking what types of composers and programming changes users would like to see, while other, less rigorous, visualizations are also presented. I recommend downloading this and viewing it in a separate pdf viewer to take advantage of the navigation buttons at the top of each page. All of the visualizations used were generated in R programming language, largely with the help of the ggplot2 package.
