Guria prepared a status report, compiling 100 cases of human trafficking and abduction of girls for forced prostitution. Most cases are from Varanasi, with a few from Ghazipur, Mau, Allahabad and Meerut. The report was sent to the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh with a demand to bring an improvement in police investigation and put a check on trafficking.
