The Indian Paper Industry has emerged as a diversified industry that produces various types of papers that comes in various use such as watermark, filter paper, drawing sheets, etc. Growing education sector supported by increased government spending is boosting paper sales in India. Growth in newspaper industry and increasing number of toll collection plazas is also driving demand for paper in the country. Government of India has taken up various initiatives addressing several issues being faced by industries and has intervened to support the industry. However, the industry also has to contend with several bottlenecks. Steadily increasing rate of internet penetration poses a threat to the conventional printing industry.
