No index is available in this downloadable edition. This is a near complete, fully searchable edition. This edition lacks: 1. The front cover page, 2. The back cover page invitation by P A Yeomans' youngest son, Ken B Yeomans entitled 'For Youth', 3. The list of publications page, 4. The dedication page, 5. The acknowledgements page, and; 6. The Index pages. This edition is reconfigured to: 7. Alter the Table of Contents page with links for the Foreword, each Chapter, Afterword and include the seventeen Color Photo Plates (with Plate Numbers & Captions) as links to the Soil and Health Library, and; 8. Alter the page integrity of the book. P A Yeomans was a main platform speaker at the UN Habitat ‘On Human Settlements’ Forum in Vancouver BC, Canada held from 27th May to 11th June 1976. Yeomans' speech was entitled ‘The Australian Keyline Plan for the Enrichment of Human Settlements'. In 1976, The City Forest was P A Yeomans' only currently available book; he was able to sell & donate copies at the Forum. Keyline design is a technique for maximizing beneficial use of water resources of a piece of land. The Keyline refers to a specific topographic feature linked to water flow. Beyond that however, Keyline can be seen as a collection of design principles, techniques and systems for development of rural and urban landscapes. Keyline design was developed in Australia by farmer and engineer P. A. Yeomans, and described and explained in his books The Keyline Plan, The Challenge of Landscape, Water For Every Farm and The City Forest. Books.
