NOTE: CRITICAL UPDATE FORTHCOMING! Because of a software Scripture-source issue involving the display of verse footnotes, all current versions of this document are in need of a critical update: Footnotes for numerous verses inadvertently were turned off because of a software-update issue, or possibly an editor error! (Most likely the former.) These are being restored now, and some other corrections, revisions, and improvements being made. It is estimated that around Oct. 1, 2015 the urgent changes will have been implemented and the revised versions again available here. A highly updated--enumerated changes herein, at bottom--and thoroughgoing, 83-page comparison of the KJV and its NT Greek source texts versus popular modern translations and their sources. Compares 105 meticulously selected verses from among the KJV, NET, NASB, and NIV versions. Comprises a cover page, preface, introduction, Bible/verse comparisons (35 pp.), word studies, extensive critical notes (four pp.), version conclusions, and information about the author, plus an exhaustive, updated 12-page index. Includes numerous publication attributions. Extensive manuscript evidence is provided to prove the purity and superiority of the Byzantine (Majority) text. This voluminous comparison also includes a thorough glossary (14 pp./39 additional terms), endnotes, suggested reading, and six helpful appendixes. Byzantine and TR sources, plus historical data, are used to defend the KJV against the origin and content of the modern "critical editions" (NA/UBS). NET version, Third Edition, REVISED. (NIV and NASB verses/notes have been thoroughly revised to include numerous removed footnotes from the respective, immediately previous version editions, plus same numerous verse changes--and corresponding note modifications. NIV verse changes total 45, and removed notes 39. NASB removed notes total 43. From both immediately previous Bible releases, NIV and NASB verse changes total 250!)
